Frequently Asked Questions about Buying Leather Sofas
Why does your furniture cost so much less than a shop?
By purchasing our sofa over the Internet, you are effectively paying trade prices, unburdened by expensive shop rents, rates and wages. There are no middlemen or sales team to bulk up the price. In addition we are often in a position to offer higher quality leathers at basic leather prices.
Isn't it risky to buy such a large priced item via Mail Order?
No not at all. Our customers are more often pleasantly surprised with the quality of our sofas and furniture, and rarely have cause for complaint. We would like you to feel every confidence in buying from us and so are prepared to accept the return of any purchase you are not happy with, as long as you inform us within 7 days. Please note that in such cases we refund the total amount paid minus a flat charge of £65 to cover part of the return delivery cost.
What leather is used in our furniture?
We use two types of leather: 'Grain' leather where the top part of a cow hide is buffed to remove surface defects and then finished in the normal way. 'Bonded' leather which is a relatively new technology that combines leather pieces into flat sheets before finishing. The leather so produced is soft and durable and both eco-friendly and hypo allergenic . The back, 'unused' areas of the sofa are all made with a faux leather or PVC which is manufactured to match the colour of the leather.
How long will delivery take?
This is dependent on delivery destination, but as most of our deliveries are from stock you can expect to receive your order of furniture within 14 days.
Do you charge for delivery?
We have two tiers of delivery charges - a standard 'drop off' rate of £35 per delivery and a variable rate of between £65-£85 for a 2--man white glove service that unwraps the sofa, fixes the feet and places the sofa in situ.
The carrier will remove the packing on arrival. We ask you to ensure that the furniture is intact. In the unlikely event you find anything damaged please ask the carrier to take it back and we will replace it as soon as we can.
Do you deliver furniture abroad?
Yes, we supply worldwide and delivery is charged at cost. If the area is not listed in our check-out then please call for a quote.
Do you supply furniture to the trade?
